Water rescue basket stretcher

Spencer always faces new challenges, trying to develop unedited technical systems and to contribute to the improvement of rescue operations, even in the most adverse of conditions. Also on this occasion we have demonstrated our capacity to gather the stimuli of an ever more innovative and technological market, once again achieving a level of technological excellence in our field. Alaska ''anti-rolling basket'' is capable of reducing by 40% the rolling of the basket stretcher determined by wave motion. It is paramount to underline the great efficiency of this innovative system, which unites the considerable lessening of the rolling with stability, thus favouring safer rescue operations, not only for the victim but also for the operator.

The novelties, with respect to the previous version are considerable. The fact that the Shell has remained almost unchanged in the past years demonstrates the unwillingness of Spencer to make unnecessary changes to a model that has always enjoyed a propelled worldwide recognition becoming one of the most highly performing basket stretchers for rescue on water. Nevertheless, today Spencer comes out into the open with a new version which presents a novelty enough to boast a truly strong unique item without changing the production process which belongs to the Shell and has made it famous: the use of medium density polyethylene for the moulding of the single piece shell. This confers to the stretcher a high level of lateral rigidity, which is combined with the extraordinary capacity to absorb mechanical stress caused by the waves. The body is joined to a framework that is light but above all, rigid.
Alaska
A system that utilizes two wings, consisting of hermetically welded tubular floating buoys, normally contained inside the stretcher frame. They open outwards on necessity, distancing themselves from the main structure to guarantee an elevated level of stability and a reduction in the rolling movement. The distance of the wings is adjustable and can be set according to the strength of the waves and of the person to be rescued. The casing, in the tapered distal rear part, has a platform opening to facilitate both the submersion of the basket and the retrieval of a victim. Once the patient is on board, the casing is closed with a simple operation. Several solutions, all new and consolidated, play their special roles in the creation of a better level of security in water rescue.
